Biography

Adja Katy Touré is a towering presence, an activist and spokeswoman who made a memorable appearance in Bois d’ébène (2015), a film about the horrors of slavery. She appears, proud and defiant, stripped of her clothing but not her dignity. Even if she’s being whipped and abused by the dregs of society, she stands tall. She’s beautiful and can give a hell of a death stare while still looking amazing.
